Horizon Honors High School Program
Horizon Honors High School is fully accredited through the North Central Association (NCA). This ensures acceptance of all high school course work to all other accredited high schools, colleges and universities. The major focus of the high school program is to prepare students to pursue success at the college or university of their choice while becoming leaders in all aspects of their lives.

All students graduating are required to earn a minimum of 24 credits with a grade of “C” or better in all classes, along with mandatory community service hours. Horizon Honors High School offers a strong accelerated program allowing students to earn both college credits and take advancement placement exams. Classes are offered in all the required subject areas along with an ever-growing list of electives.

Students may elect during their senior year to pursue an independent study culminating in an exhibition. The purpose of this study is to encourage and support the student to address a significant problem at the local, state or national level or to pursue study in a specific area they enjoy. The projects include extensive research and a final thesis. Students successfully completing their exhibition will have this achievement acknowledged on their transcript with a special notice to the colleges of their choice.
