Intermediate School Program
Students are placed on two teams, each taught by three certified teachers with specific training in their subject areas. Students rotate through each class within their team throughout the day. They also receive instruction in physical education, Spanish, and technology with the option to study instrumental music or chorus. Each day ends with all students participating in a project group activity within their teams. The project group curriculum heightens the importance of learning by allowing students to use what they learned that day in their academic classes. Students will work on projects solving real-life problems and then present it to their parents and the community in a summative event at the end of each quarter. The academic focus for the Intermediate School is to expand on the skills of reading, writing and mathematics while adding an increased focus on science and social studies. There is also a strong emphasis on values, learning to think and leadership opportunities.
